Wedding Stationery

Wedding is only the beautiful beginning of a new journey; Marriage is the journey to the happily ever after…

I designed and printed our own wedding invites. We had a cartoony wedding theme! Ok, so someone later pointed out to me that the groom had knelt with both knees instead of the one knee knight kneel. What can I say? He was begging me to marry him! The truth is, it was a complete oversight, hey, I was a really busy bride alright!

I am not sure if the map did any good to the guests, I am no expert in directions at all, I just thought, it may be helpful (hopefully).

We printed some directional signboards (DIY) and plastered them around the few carparks, leading all the way to the venue. A3 size is still not large enough from a distance, but the cartoon did a pretty good job in catching sights of many guests.

Mike got this box from Bugis, and I did some simple decorations on the box. The box was well guarded by my little nieces on the wedding.

Mike’s friends, Derek and Junia (Derek’s wife) gave us this really cute guest book, which we used on our wedding reception. Michelle, my pretty niece ‘ordered’ the guests to sign on it.

This heart shape decorative plate was a present for Mike when we celebrated our first ‘togetherness’ anniversary in Genting. I transformed it to our wedding decorative plate hanging on the wall of our room.

This was the wedding favor that we gave out on the wedding day. Michelle was very strict about giving out the favors, she gave ONE to each guest, no more no less. The basket was torn out from a hamper, and I merely decorated the basket with some fake flowers and leaves on the handle.

(We figured that we wanted to give an ‘easy’ wedding favor which guests wouldn’t need to think much about what to do with the favors. We didn’t want to give away edibles, or some favors which may end up in the storeroom or bin. I just started with my crafting business then, so I decided to make fridge magnets as the wedding favors.

Before we know it, this wedding favor soon become very popular, and I even had a graphic designer on board to design the artwork for brides.)

We made some post-wedding magnets for our parents, relatives, and friends. When we get married and moved out, our parents may feel a bit of the emptiness in the house, so we stick our wedding photos on the fridge so that they can always see us. :)

We printed our wedding story book with Blurb, and since it’s affordable to print, we printed extra copy for Mike’s mum as keepsake. Of course, we are so pleased with Blurb, we developed a tradition to print all our travel books with them too!
